Christmas Play

This Christmas holiday was a unique opportunity for us to all be together for an extended period of time. I really enjoyed that mom and dad are in their new house because there wasn't room for us to stay at their old house for more than a night or two when everyone else was in town and we missed out on time with the kids on the days when we drove back and forth to our house. I loved the quality time with everyone this year. The kids were smart and funny and clever and crazy and thoughtful and playful and loving.

Sweet snuggles with Opa.

Swinging with mom.

We spent a lot of time outdoors. On this afternoon, Opa was watering the new grass, Nana was digging for arrowheads, and the kids were running, digging, playing with water, playing baseball, climbing, and riding bikes. It was a particularly nice afternoon.

Aunt Paula had everyone's attention while making Oreo truffles. The kids took turns loading the food processor, running it, and tasting the cookie crumbs. Paula gets extra credit for entertaining five kids at once (Charlee is on her back).

Tom caught a fish!

We didn't eat the fish, but Owen may have eaten a whole box of graham crackers.

Speaking of Owen and food. Here are a few shots highlighting his enthusiasm for eating. That's my boy!
