Cora comes home

Owen was thrilled to meet baby sister. He is always wanting to hug her and kiss her and hold her. When Nana first brought Owen home from their house on the day that we came home from the hospital, Owen was all smiles and excitement until he heard me say, "Cora, this is your Nana!" Owen ran up from the playroom yelling, "That's MY Nana!" He was very possessive of Nana. She and Opa have been his port in the storm. He had a wonderful time at their house while we were in the hospital and he was far more disturbed at the new idea of having to share Opa and Nana than he was about having to share mom and dad. I'm so grateful that we have Opa and Nana in our lives. They take wonderful care of all of us.

Owen has trouble with words that start with a hard C sound so when he says cookie, it comes out "dookie," and when he says cupcake, it comes out "butcake." When Owen says Cora's name, it comes out "Dora," but he still calls her "baby sister" most of the time.
