We spent another weekend at Opa and Nana's and were rewarded with a fish fry! Well, first we were rewarded with two amazing nights of sleep. Elvis has been barking like crazy all night at our house, but he stays outside at mom and dad's so we slept through the night and then got to SLEEP IN because Owen went straight downstairs to find Opa and Nana in the morning and Cora slept until 8:45am!! She must have needed to catch up too. It was exactly what we needed.
So back to the fish fry. Tom fished for perch on Saturday afternoon and then he and dad set two lines Saturday night. They didn't get out to check the lines until 10am, on Sunday, which is VERY LATE for serious fisherman, but they still hauled in this big guy! 11lb. 9oz. of catfish.

Owen's class is going through the alphabet, one letter per week. This week was all about F so Owen took in this picture for show and tell. F is for Fish!
Owen learned some lessons about where food comes from when he watched Tom clean the catfish. Poor thing.
We invited Erin, Bobby, and Blake out to help us eat the fish. Everyone waited patiently for the fish to cook.
Opa had to taste it as he cooked. We all thought it was delicious and we ate and ate and ate!
Here are two little boys who love "The Little Blue Truck" book.
