Cora - Ten months

Cora is ten months old and cute as can be. Cora is mobile, squirmy, curious, and adventurous. On the floor, she heads quickly and quietly to 1) any shoes on the floor anywhere, 2) Owen's toys, 3) electrical outlets. I found her chewing on an outlet cover so we got new, better outlet covers. When she picks a shoe or a toy, she rolls onto her back and tucks her legs tight and puts her prize in her mouth. She plays by herself very well until we take away the shoe or other inappropriate object of her desire.

Sleep: Cora sleeps about 12 hours at night. She naps twice a day with shorter naps at school than at home. At home, she's usually good for one nap longer than two hours and one closer to 30 or 40 minutes. We know she's tired when she babbles more than usual and rubs her eyes and yawns. She's most talkative when she's tired.

Eating: Cora eats most of what we eat, but still mostly mushed up. She eats puffs, fruits, and steamed veggies as finger foods and is very efficient at feeding herself this way. The only thing she hasn't really liked is salmon and broccoli combo. She eats three food meals a day. I'm still nursing Cora and love the morning and evening nursing with her.

Reading: When reading books, Cora reaches out a lot more than Owen did. She seems more tactile and physically outgoing.

Mobility: After six or seven weeks of army crawling, Cora is doing some proper knee crawling now. She's also pushing up to a seated position and pulling up onto her knees.

Teeth: Cora has eight teeth - four fronts on bottom and top. Thankfully we haven't noticed much discomfort or extra fussiness when the teeth are coming in.

Diapers: Pampers Size 3.

Other: Cora is a persistent and painful pincher! She is constantly grabbing and pinching. If I'm not careful about moving her hands, she leaves tiny bruises on my arms when I feed her.
