Florida family fun

We flew to Florida to celebrate Grandpa's retirement and enjoyed a wonderful long weekend with family.  We flew into Tampa, ate a picnic lunch in a park in the airport flight path, and then drove straight to Naples.  The next day, we enjoyed Grandpa's last official sermon and a lovely retirement party at the church.  After church, we got back in the car and drove to Uncle John and Aunt Molly's house for some wonderful quality down time with cousins.

We finally met our newest niece, Finley, for the first time.  What a sweetheart she is.  Here she is getting a lot of love from her Uncle Tom and Owen.

It was so great to have the kids together.  It's been too long.  Cora entertained the big boys through the sliding glass door, Owen learned more about playing with swords and light sabers, and Cora got in on the hockey game.

All five kids playing in the living room and not all of them happy about it in this shot.

We also got to spend some great time with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Chuck, Aunt Nancy, and Aunt Judy at Grandma and Grandpa's new house. Here, Kathy and Nancy are loving on Cora and Finley.

Owen and Cora both love playing musical instruments with Grandma. I hope they are as musically inclined as she is.

We didn't take any family pictures at Grandpa's retirement party (when we were all dressed up and lovely), but we made up for it in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard (looking like our normal, everyday selves).

It was a happy coincidence that the kids were color coordinated for pictures. We took a ton of pictures and never managed to get all five to look at the camera and smile at the same time, but they sure are cute.
