Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving week was exactly the relaxing break our family needed after a hectic couple of months. We had our traditional Pritchard Thanksgiving foods with Uncle Doc, Jennifer, and Andrew at mom and dad's house. We arrived on Tuesday so we had a really long break from the hustle and bustle at home. Owen and Cora had plenty of grown-up attention and Tom and I got to sleep in and take time away for running, walking, fishing (Tom), and reading in a hammock (me). Paradise!

The weather was warm all week so we spent a lot of time outside.  Owen loves his sister.

The weather was so nice that we had our Thanksgiving dinner on the screen porch.  It was the first outdoor Thanksgiving meal for all of us and it was fabulous.  We didn't have fancy linens for the screen porch so we had an eclectic mix of patterns on the table, but we still used Grandmommy's fancy crystal for our wine.

We all took a walk after dinner and before dessert.  Nana asked Owen to help her start her new project of measuring and inventorying the pecan trees.  Owen was happy to help.  They started with a small tree.

And moved up from there.

The day after.  We did a lot of lounging last week and it was AWESOME.
