Mom and dad have been using their river kayaks quite a bit, but I haven't been out to enjoy them much until this spring. Mom invited me to join her at a See Jane Paddle event on the San Marcos River today and we had the best time. See Jane Paddle hosts "girl paddling adventures" for women and it's run by women who do the Texas Water Safari race in June. These women rock. Today's event was a 6 or 7 mile stretch of the river from City Park in San Marcos to TG Canoe a little below Cummings Dam, followed by wine tasting at the Three Dudes Winery. Some of my friends and my sisters' friends joined us! We were really missing Paula and Laura so they'll have to come do it with us some time. The low temperature this morning was 36 degrees, but it warmed up quickly and turned into the most beautiful day. It was all perfect.

Aaaahhhh... time for the wine and snacks.
