Week 27 - Sonoma

To cap off our very busy September, we flew to California to spend a long weekend in Sonoma for a friend's wedding. It was awesome to get away for a mini-vacation and spend time together as a family of three. Owen did great on the airplane and the rest of the trip. He is such an easy baby.

While in Sonoma, we hiked (walked) in the Jack London State Park, we picnicked, we toodled around Sonoma, and we did a little wine tasting.

Owen had a sweet ride on our hike, don't you think? I love that you can see Tom and me in the sunglasses here.

O slept on the go a lot on this trip.

The wedding was beautiful. It was at a winery and we had a really nice time. The bride and groom GENEROUSLY provided nannies so we could enjoy an adult night out knowing that Owen was in good hands. We got some great pictures of Owen at the brunch the next day.

This one just cracks me up.

We picked one nice winery (Ledson) for some wine tasting on Sunday afternoon and we pulled our Ford Escape rental into a lot FULL of Porsches. We stumbled into the 10th annual Porsche aficionado event and made ourselves right at home!

Being out and about with a baby is like hanging out with a celebrity. Everyone stops us to tell us how cute Owen is (thank you, thank you...). But obviously, on the plane, no one wants to be near a baby. The flight to CA was full, but on the way home, Tom held Owen in the aisle seat to keep anyone from wanting to fill out our row and that flight was MUCH easier with a little more room to spread out.
