Christmas in Florida

We had a wonderful time in Florida for Owen's first Christmas. This was one of the coldest Decembers on record for Austin so it was a huge relief to escape to Florida. I'm sure my Alaska and Missouri sisters think this is ridiculous, but I choose to live in Austin because it's supposed to be WARM!

We didn't decorate our house for Christmas this year so it was great to be at Tom's parents' house which was fully decked out. They had this beautiful tree with a Christmas train at its base that the boys LOVED.

Owen's Grandpa is a Presbyterian minister and we feel like celebrities when we attend church with them because people know who we are and greet us like family. Grandpa got to sit with us for the children's service on Christmas Eve.

Owen and Collin together. Collin is only 4.5 months older than Owen, but right now that's still a pretty big gap. Owen is crawling with confidence, but Collin can RUN!

Our angel with nativity angels in the background. Doesn't Owen look like he's dressed for a luau? I wanted to spiff him up for church, but this is as nice as his clothes get so we went with it. Where's my fruity drink??

Grandma loved having all three grandbabies in town for Christmas and they loved the attention.

We took a santa suit for O to wear for Christmas, but it was too hot (awesome!). Here is Logan helping Owen with the loot from his stocking.

Collin supervises as Owen opens a present.

Christmas chaos.

Owen isn't old enough to get what Christmas is all about, but he did LOVE getting a pile of new things he could fit in his mouth. Mmmmm... toys...

A pretty darn good family photo! Owen was running a fever again at this point thanks to the never-ending sinus infection. This was a week into his first round of antibiotics, but it wasn't working.

I wish we had a picture of all three boys together (not just running around), but at least we got a few holiday shots of Owen.

On our last day in Florida, we hit the park. Owen was a trooper all week even though he didn't feel great. He wasn't as free with smiles as he usually is and you can see how puffy his eyes were. At the end of the trip, he looked like he'd been punched in the eye. We're currently in the middle of his third round of antibiotics. We're counting on this one doing the trick...

Thanks for another great trip and Merry Christmas!
