Lots of cousins, lots of pictures!

We spent a ton of time with family in February. Both of my sisters came home with their families and all five (plus one on the way) of Owen's cousins on my side were at Opa and Nana's house. Laura and her family were here for almost two weeks and Paula's family was here for about five days. It was a total treat to have everyone together.

With six kids in the house, Owen slept in a pack-n-play in the laundry room. He was such a trooper. We'd put him down there so we could hang out for a while after his bedtime. When it was time to go home, we'd load him up and get him into his crib at home without him ever really waking up.

We took hundreds of pictures while everyone was here. Here are a few.

Owen watching Bo and Sam in the yard. I can only imagine the things those boys are going to teach O over the years. Bo and Sam are both extremely physical. They will climb anything and jump from any height. They're amazing.

Opa has a gift for charming rambunctious boys. Here he is with cousins Sam and Bo.


Owen LOVES to swing. He giggles and laughs and swings his feet and bubbles with excitement. I think it reminds him of how Tom throws him in the air and swings him around the house. And O doesn't want any gentle swaying. This kid wants to SWING! Here are cousin Bo helping with a push and Opa cheering him on.




We spent time at the river, of course. Our sweet, pale baby needs protection from the sun.

Laura is a baby wrangler. With three kids of her own (all under four), she took care of everyone while she was here. I don't know how she does it. Owen enjoyed a little quality time with Aunt Laura.

This was my favorite day because we were all together and the weather was beautiful. We ALL enjoyed a delicious lunch outside in the sun - four kids at the table, Owen in a booster, Max on Laura's lap, and Paula's baby belly in the background.



Owen has been pulling up and cruising all over the place. With some help from Tom and Opa, O pushed this toy through the yard and he laughed!

This sweatshirt is the warmest layer Owen owns so he wears it all the time. I think it makes him look like a little blond GAP gangster.


On one of Laura's last nights in town, our neighbors Ashley and Lily came to play. Ashley is one of Laura's best friends from way back and by happy coincidence, she now lives two door down from us. Feeding kids can be a lot of work, but it is so much more fun with more people around.


I say this all the time, but my perfect world would have Paula and Laura and their families live in town with us. I love it when we're all together, but until something changes, we'll take full advantage of the fact that we usually have Opa and Nana all to ourselves!
