This was the first day of the new school year for both kids. This year Owen is a Panda and Cora is a Kangaroo. When asked what his favorite thing is about being a Panda, Owen answers "Playing with Lily!" As a Chick (Cora's infant class), Cora liked to wear the plush stacking rings as bracelets. As a Kangaroo, Cora likes to wear the plastic stacking rings as bracelets. In this time of change for both kids, we're all grateful for the things that have stayed the same.
I think I need to point out Owen's hair. We comb his hair after bath at night, but we don't make the effort to tame it again in the morning. Perhaps we should have on this picture-taking occasion, but we obviously didn't. This is how we live!
